Improving Drop Location
Although our technicians tune your plate type definitions during installation, if you add new plates types or find that drop images are consistently off-centered, you may want to improve the drop location.
Prerequisites
- You're comfortable with the Plate Type Editor.
- You know the plate type name you want to tune the drop location on.
To improve drop location for a plate:
- Go to the File menu and select Plate Type Editor to open the Plate Type Editor.
- Select your plate type from the plate type list.
- If your plate has more than one drop location per well, select the number of the drop position from the Drop list.
- Use the manual imaging controls to move the imager to the A1 drop location.
- Click
(outlined in green in the image below) to save the new drop position.
Drop positions
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the A12, H12, and H1 drop positions.
- Click OK to save your changes and close the Plate Type Editor.
